So so freaking sad. And yet this looks old and we still to this date deal with the same B.S.

Universe Man

I don't see what's wrong with that. If it said, "Four score and seven flapjacks," would you still be offended?

James

I got to admit, i laughed. Take it for what it is, a dumb ad in a newspaper, not rascism.

Free Speech

I don't think it's racist, but just in poor taste. At least to me, it diminishes the meaning of those words when they can be reduced to a jingle. It's like if a bail bondsman had an ad that read "Let my people go" or if Macy's ran one saying "if the glove don't fit...you must go to Macy's to buy another pair".

And yes, I did chuckle at first, but more "laughing at" than "with" them.

Rokwell

Universe Man that ish cracked me up!

But seriously folks cant we all just get along.

I bet you that add was in like Nebraska or something Wisconsin even.

Rokwell

Yo Speech that was hella funny "if the glove don't fit" lol that's more of a crack at the "Juice" I wouldn't see it as racism....

Given the dates on the coupon (mid-January), it looks like it was a promotion around Dr. MLK Day. Which makes it more awesome and funny, and not offensive to me. It was probably written by stoners.

frankright

universe man is obviously an idiot.

frankright

you too mary.

Ryne

It's easy to see without looking to far that mot much is really sacred. Tell 'em Bobby.

Cre8tv_rec

Don't find it offensive, or particularly in bad taste--just lame as hell. If I opened up a newspaper and saw this ad, i'd think to myself, "if there food is anything like they're advertising--i'll pass!"

Cre8tv_rec

Plus, I agree with Ryne!

Missy

That's way more clever than I was expecting. Taknhs!
